Lay School of Ministry
A Northwest Synod of Wisconsin educational program
The Lay School of Ministry assists lay people developing a deeper Christian identity and participating in the mission of the whole church. The curriculum emphasizes the understanding of the Bible, spirituality, worship, and Lutheran theology. The school provides students with opportunities to evaluate their past and present ministries, while receiving guidance from peers, seminary professors, clergy, and lay staff.
H3 (Holy, Happy, and Healthy)
Join us Mondays at 6:30 PM or Tuesdays at 9:30 AM.
Meet to discuss a book, pray for one another, cultivate a healthy lifestyle (maybe even walk together), and just enjoy each other's company.
Do you have an interesting topic you'd like to discuss or share with other members of the congregation? Opportunities for this are available following worship each Sunday. Talk to Pastor Jamie or Dee in the office about scheduling a date or click the link below to email your suggestion.
Senior Bible Study
Join us Wednesdays at 10:15 AM (Third Wednesday of the month only in summer).
This group of senior citizens meets weekly for some study relating to the Bible, the Church, Christian faith, or religion in general. For 24 years, the group has hovered around 10 in regular attendance. Someone in the group brings snacks for coffee. Prayer is always a part of each meeting as well as lots of senior humor. Usually meetings are at church, but when some of the members are residents at senior apartments, meetings may take place there.
Join us Wednesdays at 7:30 PM.
Enjoy singing praises and and sharing the Good News through music?! There's a place for you in the choir! To learn more, email Tammie Delveaux.
Material Witness Quilting
Join us two or three Wednesdays of the month from 12 until 4 PM. Check the church calendar for work dates.
Join together with other church members to create beautiful quilts and wall hangings for baptism and weddings. We also create wall hangings for our sister church in Malawi using blocks that our members created, quilts for Luther Park’s Annual Quilt Auction, and quilts for other benefits within our church.
Would you like to knit or crochet prayer shawls to share with our community? We have touched many lives in crisis with a simple gift of a prayer shawl.
Men's Discussion Group
Join this group which meets two times per month to discuss a book or video series. Check the church calendar for dates.
