Sunday Learning

Life Long Learning Opportunities

Can you ever know enough about someone who loves you, about someone whom you love? Followers of Jesus are always learners, always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow. Immanuel provides a number of learning opportunities for all ages to discover the faith. Many opportunities are intergenerational.

We believe that learning about Jesus should be more than the passing on of ideas and facts, it should enable us to grow in our ability to follow Jesus and live in him. Learning is more than information, it is formation into Christ shaped life.

Feel free to attend any of these learning opportunities. If you want to attend, but want someone to go with you and introduce you the first time, contact the church office, 833-7832.

Sunday Church School

Garden of Faith: 3yr old - Kindergarten meet in the nursery across from the kitchen. They will grow through reading, singing, playing, and much more. The fall theme is Harvest Your Faith and the spring theme will be Growing Your Faith.

Journey of Faith: 1st - 6th grade will sprout and blossom as they continue on their journey. The curriculum for the year will be Most Certainly True: Living the Catechism. Grade groups will meet in the same classroom each week with 2-3 Caring Adults. They will have rotations with several weeks of learning the same lesson through cooking, arts and crafts, music, watching movies, and more!

Traditional Adult Forum

Following worship, grab a cup of something and head for the library for a traditional learning and discussion format adult class.

Topics will be posted on the calendar.

Adult Forum Light!

Following worship, grab a cup of something, grab the people standing near you, and head back into the nave (the worship part of the church) for a new experience, a little singing, a little learning, prayer and fellowship. Each Sunday will be a mini-lesson on a topic the group suggests.
